About the Project
Commercial Stone Installation for a Hospitality Venue in Brisbane
We were proud to contribute to Babylon Brisbane, a striking riverside hospitality venue by Mantle Group Hospitality, located at 145 Eagle Street in the heart of Brisbane’s riverfront dining precinct.
Building on the success of the original Babylon in Sydney, the Brisbane expansion brings refined Middle Eastern–inspired dining to a vibrant new location, with interiors designed to impress.
Stone as a Central Design Feature
Bespoke Stonework Across Key Living Spaces
Designed by Hogg & Lamb Architects and constructed by Hammersmith, the venue is a layered and luxurious space where material detail plays a central role.
Our stone masonry team was engaged to deliver key custom stone features that now stand as focal points within the venue’s design.

Stone Selection & Applications
Stone was supplied by Architectural Stone and Wood, and our scope included:
Feature Bar in Verde Fusion
This statement piece forms the centrepiece of the venue’s main bar area. Crafted from richly veined Verde Fusion stone, the bar incorporates an intricate stepped edge profile, bringing texture, rhythm, and architectural depth to the space. The stepped detailing required precise stone cutting, alignment, and finishing to achieve its sculptural quality and seamless execution.
Concierge Desk in Roman Classico Travertine
designed to complement the bar, this custom-built desk carries through the same stepped profile detailing. The use of Roman Classico Travertine adds softness and tonal warmth while maintaining visual continuity across the front-of-house space.
Our team worked to ensure flawless integration of these complex elements into the overall interior design, maintaining accuracy across every joint and surface.

The result is a hospitality environment where natural stone becomes a centrepiece of the spatial identity — a perfect balance of bold materiality and refined craftsmanship, reflective of Babylon’s elevated brand and its dramatic riverside setting.
