About the Project
Luxury Stone Benchtops in a Mudgeeraba Hinterland Home
As part of a major renovation on a private hinterland property, we were engaged to deliver custom stonework that would anchor the heart of the home — a bold and sculptural kitchen space with natural materials at its core.
Working alongside Imagine Cabinets, our team was tasked with creating a standout centrepiece that would reflect the home’s refined yet organic design language. The result is a truly show-stopping kitchen, defined by form, texture, and craftsmanship.
Design Intent & Collaboration
A Sculptural Kitchen Defined by Natural Stone
The Portofino Marble’s leathered finish enhances its natural texture while softening reflections, giving the island bench a tactile, organic quality that pairs beautifully with the surrounding joinery and finishes.
Through close coordination with the cabinetmaker and design team, our stonework was seamlessly integrated into the overall interior vision — combining bold geometry with refined detailing to bring a sense of artistry and permanence to this luxury rural home.

Stone Selection & Applications
Stone selections for the project included:
Portofino Marble (Leather Finish)
Used for the kitchen’s faceted curved island bench, this richly veined marble brings movement and depth to the space. The curved, geometric form was hand-finished with precision to achieve a smooth, faceted profile — a demanding and highly technical installation that now serves as the undisputed feature of the home.
Quantum Quartz Alpine White
used on the rear benchtops, providing a crisp, clean contrast to the natural stone of the island and ensuring both visual balance and durability in daily use.
